DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team surprised junior reserve officer training corps cadets from all service branches during the National High School Drill Team Competition in Daytona Beach, Fla., May 4.  The event, known as the "Nationals" across JROTC units, is held annually in Daytona Beach and brings together more than 2,000 cadets from hundreds of JROTC units across the country. This year the event was hosted by Maj. Gen. Alfred Flowers, AFOATS Commander.  The team performed for the cadets in their final day of competition, but spent three days before the performance assisting local recruiters throughout the area with their recruiting mission.
