SMSgt Mohammed S. Abouhashem is the First Sergeant for the United States Air Force Honor Guard, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. He advises the squadron commander on conditions affecting the health, morale, welfare, professional development, military justice, mentoring, safety, and standards of discipline for 300 assigned military members and provides guidance on personnel issues.
Sergeant Abouhashem enlisted in 2002 as a hydraulic technician and served in various duties in the maintenance career field. He has deployed to various Air Force Central Command units while serving in different supervisory and leadership positions. Prior to assuming his current position, Sergeant Abouhashem served as a production superintendent at Air Mobility Commands largest core tanker aircraft wing. He also coordinated facility planning for the Department of Defense crucial acquisition of the KC-46 tanker aircraft.
