U.S. Air Force Honor Guard members train for the upcoming 90th anniversary birthday ceremony of Bolling July 1 at the U.S. Air Force Ceremonial Lawn. A ceremonial tattoo is 7 p.m. July 25. Bolling was established July 1, 1918, and named in honor of Col. Raynal C. Bolling whom was killed in World War I. The land was then scouted by William C. Ockerand and Brig. Gen.
