MASTER SERGEANT SHAUN M. SPENCER

MASTER SERGEANT SHAUN M. SPENCER is the First Sergeant, United States Air Force Honor Guard, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, District of Columbia.  He serves as the key enlisted advisor to the Honor Guard Command and Chief Enlisted Manager on matters concerning the welfare, career progression, and mission readiness of more than 290 total force personnel.  He provides guidance and direction to squadron senior leadership on unit morale, career enhancement, and discipline.  His duties include performing quality force reviews on all enlisted performance reports, awards, and personnel actions.  Additionally, Sergeant Spencer monitors compliance with Air Force Standards, counsels personnel on leadership, military customs and courtesy, and acts to resolve complaints.

MSgt Spencer entered the Air Force in 2002. He graduated from the munitions systems specialist course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, in December 2002. His assignments include bases in Florida, South Korea, United Kingdom, Italy, Maryland, and Washington D.C. MSgt Spencer has also served in multiple deployed theaters on four occasions in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Baltic Air Policing Missions, United States Africa Command, and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.
